Hi Gabor,
Thanks for that link, very useful.
I feel I am very close to getting this working, I've got up to the Step #17 of that article.

I am actually using a Page feed, rather than an Album.

So I had accessed the Edit Generator of my slider, and under Filter for 'Page', I had entered the full Facebook page URL.
That gave an error when saving:

ERROR
(#100) Tried accessing nonexisting field (from) on node type (Page)

I then tried just the unique part of the URL, omitting the facebook.com part of the URL.
That gave another error when saving:

ERROR
(#803) Some of the aliases you requested do not exist: [<em>shows my value here</em>]

My slider shows on page, but it is empty of course, just shows the arrows and the slide indicator green square.

I'm not sure what exactly I am meant to be entering into the Filter for 'Page'.

Could you please advice? The article linked shows screenshots for adding an album only.

It will only appear if you have enabled the option for Show Facebook Author on Articles (https://semperplugins.com/documentation/social-meta-module/#show-facebook-author-on-articles) and added your Facebook profile in the Facebook field in the user profile for your post author. Doing this will result in the article:author tag being output on posts authored by that user.

Hey David!

Do you know if your Page is Public, and that it has no Age or Country requirements to view? A private page or a page with any restriction will not work with our plugin.

In there you should only enter the name of the page, for example this is our facebook page:
http://facebook.com/nextendweb
and what you would need is:
nextendweb

I can't see the picture you're talking about, but had a problem with Google Plus shares. I'm still not sure what actually caused the problem, but it's working now.

If you don't have a Featured Image set, trying setting one, and see if Shareaholic picks up the image you want.

If you're also running Yoast SEO on your site, try deactivating, and see if Shareaholic shares as you want.

If you're using a custom link shortening service with Shareaholic, such as Bitly, try using the default link shortener instead, and see if SHareaholic shares as you want.

Hello

I am setting up Facebook's instant articles and noticed that the slider do not show there.

Not sure how I can demonstrate that to you, as the articles are still under initial review at FB.

One instance of that is this page:

It shows fine on my 'regular' website, but once within FB it will not show the slider.

That's because since that version (the FREE one you are using) FB requires their APP ID to be associated with the OG meta data.

The premium version of SEO Ultimate has New OpenGraph and TwitterCard functionality (that validates) in addition to 9 Rich Snippets and tons of new features.

For example, we've added HTML and XML sitemaps, a mass Alt Attribute editor for images and a new page level version of the Code Inserter Module (that allows you to add scripts to pages, posts and all post types either in the header, above content, below content or the footer) all form 1 page with up to 100 pages at a time... so, you can add JSON-LD, tracking or analytics, ads, etc.

Hello Keith,

I have been testing and I able to create separate settings for the subscribe tools for each channel and category.

Can you reply with the shortcode you are using for your custom podcast channel's subscribe page? I suspect attribute values are causing the issue. Giving me that shortcode will allow me to re-create them in our dev environment for testing.

I have added to our TODO list to offer a sidebar widget option with the links in a different format (other than the 48px high buttons. We made them 48px high to meet mobile device button requirements. We understand that website design and space available takes priority and will come up with alternatives in future versions of PowerPress.

SumoMe is a much more full featured plugin than this one intends to be--Scriptless Social Sharing is really meant just to provide simple, easy sharing buttons with no script, and not really do anything else at all. It's very possible to move the sharing buttons in this plugin; I would expect that SumoMe provides similar methods to move its output around as needed.

Hi, yes, the featured image is fine on the actual website but it lost connectivity in FB and Google+. I recreated the post on FB but couldn't do that on Google+ without messing up the chronological order so it's still blank there. I used Publicize and it worked fine initially but disappeared recently.

Still no resolution so if you have any ideas, let me know!

All other share links work just fine, but the Google+ link produces the following error:

400. That’s an error.
The requested URL was not found on this server. That’s all we know.

and the Facebook link is producing this:

Sorry, something went wrong.
We're working on getting this fixed as soon as we can.

I disabled ALL plugins and switched to a basic WordPress theme and it is still happening in Chrome and IE browsers. I didn't test in any others. I am working on a local Apache install right now so I can't provide a link to the page.

Any ideas?

Hi, I'm using version 4.0.3 of jetpack. My site is blog.magickitchen.com.
If I go to a post and look at settings under publicize, it shows:
Facebook Connected as: MagicKitchen.com ×

Twitter Connected as: @magickitchen

And on my last post, I kept a screenshot, which you can see here:

Are you using a localhost domain in your local dev environment?

If so, you'll see those errors for Facebook and Google+ until you update to use a domain or local dev URL. e.g.

https://www.facebook.com/sharer/sharer.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Flocalhost%2Ftest%2F&t=Test

https://plus.google.com/share?hl=en-US&url=http%3A%2F%2Flocalhost%2Ftest%2F

As soon as you update to a non-localhost URL those errors should clear.
